The Oxford English Centre has taught English to international students since 1979. Our school is in a Grade II listed Victorian building on Banbury Road, in a quiet residential part of North Oxford and a short walk from the city centre, in a city where students have come to learn for over 900 years.
We are deliberately small. That means small classes, teachers who know your goals, and a team that does everything possible to make your course and your stay smooth, enjoyable and productive. In a typical year we welcome students from more than 70 countries.

Our Grade II listed building combines Victorian character with bright, well-equipped classrooms, free Wi-Fi throughout and a Self-Access Learning Centre with a free lending library. At the heart of the school is Caramba, our garden and terrace restaurant, where students meet between lessons.
